UFC stars Jim Miller and Mickey Gall will appear in the Poconos on Saturday as part of a MyMMANews.com event.
Miller, the winningest fighter in UFC lightweight history, will hold a seminar from 1 to 3 p.m. at MMA Signatures Jiu Jitsu Asylum, 564 Main St., Stroudsburg. The seminar will consist of some wrestling for mixed martial arts, along with top and side control drills.
The Sparta, New Jersey, native holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 28-9 and one no contest. He competed 26 times inside the UFC octagon, winning 17 of those bouts, setting himself up to earn the most wins in the organization’s 155-pound division.
Admission for the seminar is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
From 8 to 10 p.m., Miller and Gall will meet and greet fans, as well as sign autographs and take pictures, at Trackside Station Grill & Bar, 50 Crystal St., East Stroudsburg. The first 100 people will receive free 8-by-10 photos signed by each fighter. Admission is free. UFC on Fox 24 will be broadcast throughout the restaurant, with the evening’s main event pitting UFC flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson against Wilson Reis.
Also a New Jersey native, Gall — 4-0 as a professional welterweight, with plans to move down to lightweight — signed to the organization while UFC President Dana White was filming the reality series “Dana White: Lookin’ For a Fight.” Gall had three wins in 2016, including a victory over former WWE star CM Punk.
