Trackside Station Grill & Bar is an innovative, young, energetic, and thriving sports bar and family restaurant in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Without the dedication, loyalty, energy, and personality from each of member of our team, we would be like every other sports bar. We obtain and retain only the best employees – employees that work as hard as if this was their own business.

Whether they have decided to make a career in food and beverage, pick up a part-time job while completing school, or anywhere in between – we stand behind our employees so that they can personally and professionally achieve their goals.

Household names – such as Jennifer Sobrinski, Jessica Grunza, Jamie Tepedino, and Angelique Bucciero – have shown their dedication over the years and have helped Trackside Station create and live up to its reputation as an exceptional dining establishment.


Tim Smedley, Executive Chef

With more than 18 years of culinary experience, Executive Chef Tim Smedley commands the kitchens of Trackside Station Grill & Bar and Garlίc Restaurant & Bar with his mouth watering dishes. Tim has been with Trackside Station from the very beginning and has catalyzed its growth and sustainability. Working side-by-side with Mike and Diane from the beginning and sharing their vision, Tim has taken the food quality and kitchen staff to new levels and has set the bar for an exceptional dining experience.

Tim is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University’s Hotel and Restaurant Management program. He is the dedicated husband to a fiery, artistic redhead and the father of three beautiful daughters. Tim’s true passion is food, but when he’s not in the kitchen, he can be found on the slopes or at the beach!

 

John Picarello, Pastry Chef

Pastry Chef John Picarello is perfect example of climbing the ladder within the company. John started working as a Line Cook for Trackside Station more than six years ago. Soon after John started, he was tasked with making dessert and it was immediately apparent that he had a secret talent. Over the years, John has climbed his way from a line cook to the Pastry Chef for both Trackside Station and Garlίc. John’s dedication to the company earned him the ability to specialize in what he loves – creating delicious in-house pastries and the finest desserts around.  

John attended Northampton Community College and Monroe County Career & Technical Institute’s Culinary Arts programs. John is an active member on the MCTI Culinary Arts Advisory Board. John is a loving father. He prides himself in providing an amazing culinary experience.

 

Jestin “JJ” Buccino, Sous Chef

Sous Chef Jestin Buccino, better known as JJ, has made a reputation for himself as being a “diamond” in the kitchen. When the pressure is on, JJ shines the brightest. JJ has been cooking for 17 years, the last 6 of which, have been with Trackside Station. JJ has shown tremendous personal and professional strides over the years. Starting as a Line Cook, promoted to Sous Chef, and next in line for Head Chef – JJ is another example of how we foster internal employee growth.

JJ attended Pocono Mountain High School and Northampton Community College. When JJ isn’t grilling up delicious favorites, he is spending time with his family and playing with his niece. JJ is a fantastic writer and spends his down time writing.   

                               

Robin Opperlee, Marketing Director

Marketing Director Robin Opperlee brings a solid business background to the table. Over the last 12 years, Robin has held leadership roles in a variety of fields – nonprofit, corporate marketing, education, and hospitality – specializing in marketing and sales. As the Marketing Director for TEPSBEST Restaurant Group, the parent company of Trackside Station and Garlίc, Robin is charged with building business and relationships with the community and target markets, ever increasing stakeholder interest in the TEPSBEST experience.  

Robin has a B.S. in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College and an A.S. in Marketing/Management. Robin is the proud mother of a high energy, insanely sarcastic son. Robin coaches youth soccer, trains Koei Kan Karate, and fills in her free time with bucket list adventures and rock/country concerts.
